Visit the Marimbani sand bar

The Marimbani sandbank is a beautiful half-moon-shaped sand island in the Mafia Archipelago. This sandbank slowly appears when the tide starts to go out, revealing itself for a few hours before the Indian Ocean swallows it up again. A traditional dhow takes you to the heart of the marine park for some snorkelling before you head to Marimbani. While you take your time to explore the sandbank and its surrounding waters, the staff cooks a delicious Swahili-style BBQ’d fish.
