Visit Chole Island

Chole Island is a small island just across a small channel from Mafia Island. It belongs to the Mafia Archipelago and makes for a nice visit because of its history, its ruins and the lush vegetation covering the island. After a short boat ride you land on Chole’s beach, after which you walk along the ruins to a fruit bat sanctuary with Comoro flying foxes hanging in the trees. You also visit a traditional boatyard and end the tour with a sundowner in Chole’s ocean-view bar.
